Pisa is one of the most visited cities of Tuscany, famous for its leaning tower. Although intended to stand vertically, the tower began leaning because of a poorly laid foundation. The tower is 55 meter high and stands in Piazza dei Miracoli (field of miracles), declared World Heritage Site. In front of the west facade of the Cathedral, there is the Baptistery,dedicated to San Giovanni Battista and considered the most big one in Italy. Pisa is not only a tourist destination but it is the centre of three of the most important universities in Italy, as well. One of them is the High school. Pisa is also a modern art site, where you can admire: Keith Haring's murales Tuttomondo, Pietro Cascella's Porta della Sapienza, the fountain of Piazza della Stazione by Arnaldo Pomodoro, Angelo Ciucci's Kinzica statue and Stefania Guidi's statue of Galileo.
