Podere Il Pino

Arezzo has etruscan originis and it's about 70 km away from Podere il Pino. It has the privilegue of being the native town of many personalities like: Francesco Petrarca, Michelangelo Buonarroti and also Roberto Benigni. Arezzo has many events: the antique fair, every first sunday of each month; the "Fiera del Mestolo" during the first ten days of September and finally the International Music Festival in October. There is also an historical event, the Giostra del Saracino, which takes place in Piazza Grande on the last but one saturday of June and the first sunday of September. During the demonstration the knights of the four districts of the town challenge: each knight has a spear with whom he has to hit a scoreboard held by the so called "buratto", a wooden statue which embodies the Saraceno.
