Podere Il Pino

A city known for its works of art, it is in fact a World Heritage Site. The traditional Palio, takes place in the famous Piazza del Campo, the 2nd of July and the 16th of Agoust. It is a horse race between the various districts, called "Contrade", of the city. The Palio of Siena is not just an historical event or a revivor of Medieval customs, but it is also the expression of the ancient traditions of Siena. This famous event is organized by the "Contrade", which have a very intense social life, during the all year round.
